Say hello to Millie...
As a school we are passionate about supporting the wellbeing of our children and already have made changes to our school to promote and support this further. We have been researching the benefits of a school dog, as we want to be able to offer something different to our community and continue to provide opportunities to support the development of mental health and wellbeing.
One of the advantages of owning a Cockapoo is that they are hypoallergenic dogs; this means they are less likely to cause an allergic reaction. It should be noted that no dog breed is 100% allergy friendly, but the Cockapoo with its low-shedding, low-dander coat comes pretty close.
Millie is a valued addition to our St Mary’s family. She has just turned 8 months and has enjoyed coming into St Mary’s, getting to know staff and children. Millie is about to start her official training with Canine Assisted Learning.
