“Learning with fun, friends, family and faith”
As a Roman Catholic School the Catholic faith is taught and followed, it permeates throughout every aspect of school life. Children take part in prayers, Acts of Worship and/or assembly every day. The weekly Celebration Assembly on a Friday afternoon is led in prayer by the children, it also celebrates the achievements and talents of the children. Parents/carers and friends are invited along to join the children in this faith celebration at the end of every week.
We do have lots of children in school who are not Catholic but are sympathetic to the Catholic ethos. Children learn about Christian values and the Gospel of Jesus.
New to Reception
Children are admitted into school in the year they have their fifth birthday. There is a single entry in to school in September which is staggered over 2 weeks to allow the children to settle in and spend time with their teachers in their new school environment.
An Open Evening in school in the Autumn term welcomes any new prospective parents. Applications will need to be completed and returned to the Local Authority by the middle of January. A Supplementary Information Form will also need to be completed and returned to school as soon as possible.
There are induction days in the summer term for children joining the school in Reception in the new school year in September. These days provide opportunities for parents and children to come into school and meet their teachers and look around the learning environment.
In Year Admissions
Children often join school mid-year. There is an opportunity for families to come and look round the school by making an appointment with the School Administrator. Please contact the school itself to determine if there are places available in the relevant year group. You will also need to enquire with NYCC Local Authority Admissions here or telephone 01609 533679.
Please telephone the school on 01748 822365 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
